Who do you work with?
Your journey, your pace

I work with a wide range of clients — from newcomers to Pilates to those ready to deepen their practice and push toward new goals. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing orthopaedic conditions, or simply aiming to build strength and flexibility, each private session is tailored to your body, your needs, and your pace.

I’m certified in pre- and post-natal Pilates and experienced in working with common injuries and movement limitations — so you’re always in safe, expert hands. One-to-one Pilates is incredibly effective, and with consistent sessions, you’ll begin to feel real changes in your body, posture, and overall wellbeing. We’ll set meaningful goals together and work steadily toward them — with focus, challenge, and support every step of the way.

How do private sessions work?
Tailored for your body and goals

Your first session begins with a full postural analysis and a conversation about your movement history, any injuries, and your previous Pilates experience. This gives me a clear picture of your
unique body and what it needs.

We’ll then move through a series of foundational Pilates exercises so I can assess your strengths and identify areas to support, strengthen, or mobilise. From there, every session is personalised — whether your goal is to build strength, improve flexibility, correct muscular imbalances, or enhance mobility and alignment. Throughout your journey, you’ll receive focused guidance and thoughtful progression in each session, with just the right amount of challenge to keep you moving forward — while always respecting your body’s pace. It’s this kind of consistent, tailored approach that delivers real, lasting results.

FAQ

I train clients in their homes (if you are local to Archway), or you can join me for a one-to-one Pilates session in my home.

I offer one-to-one Pilates from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday. We’ll work together to find a time that fits your schedule, and for clients with changing work patterns, I’m happy to adapt week by week. If no suitable slot is available, I can add you to my waitlist for future openings.

For private Pilates sessions, all you’ll need is a mat. I’ll bring any additional small equipment we might use—such as resistance bands, Pilates balls, or power rings.

In your first private Pilates session, I’ll carry out a detailed postural assessment to find any imbalances or areas that need attention. You’ll also share your goals, as well as any injuries or ongoing concerns. We’ll then work through classic Pilates movements so I can see your current strength, flexibility, and mobility. From there, I’ll design a fully tailored program that addresses your posture, corrects muscle imbalances, and builds lean, strong muscles. Each session is structured to help you progress safely and effectively—improving how your body feels and moves, both now and in the long term.

Pilates is a low-impact, highly effective workout that allows for more frequent sessions without the long recovery times typical of other high-intensity exercises. If Pilates is your main form of exercise, I recommend aiming for 2–3 private sessions per week to build strength, flexibility, and alignment steadily. If you’re also active with higher-impact activities like running or gym workouts, 1–2 Pilates sessions per week can complement your routine, improving muscle balance and injury prevention. To support your progress, you might also consider booking additional private sessions or joining my online Pilates group classes or attending in person sessions at Down to Earth studio.

My private Pilates sessions typically last one hour, providing ample time for a thorough warm-up, focused exercises, and cool-down to enhance strength, flexibility, and alignment. For clients with tighter schedules, I also offer 45-minute sessions—a great way to maintain consistency and keep progressing toward your goals without compromising on quality.

Absolutely! I’m qualified in pre- and post-natal Pilates and have extensive experience supporting clients through pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Your sessions will be carefully tailored to suit your body’s changing needs, helping you build strength, improve flexibility, and promote safe, effective movement.

Definitely, I work with a diverse range of clients— from Pilates newcomers to experienced practitioners eager to deepen their practice. Whether you’re just starting your Pilates journey, recovering from injury, or aiming to improve strength and flexibility, each session is tailored to your individual needs. You’ll begin experiencing the physical and mental benefits of Pilates from your very first session.

Getting started is easy—just reach out via my Contact page, and I’ll respond within 48 hours. We’ll then have a quick phone call to discuss your availability, your health history, and your fitness goals. If there isn’t an immediate slot that fits your schedule, I’ll keep you on my waitlist and be in touch as soon as a suitable time becomes available. Together, we’ll make sure your Pilates sessions fit seamlessly into your life and support your journey to strength, flexibility, and alignment.

Yes, you can train with a friend. To ensure the best experience, please provide advance notice so I can accommodate both of you. For optimal results, it helps if you and your friend have similar fitness goals, allowing me to design a personalised session that supports strength, flexibility, and alignment for you both.

When you first book, you’ll complete a detailed medical screening form that I review carefully. If you have any concerns about whether Pilates is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to provide personalised guidance. I’m qualified in pre- and postnatal exercise and experienced with common orthopaedic conditions, but it’s important to discuss any health issues upfront to ensure your safety. In some cases, Pilates may need to be adapted or might not be suitable, and I’ll advise you honestly to protect your wellbeing.

While it’s important to rest and recover—typically every 8 to 12 weeks—if you feel ready to keep moving and maintainyour progress, I offer a wide selection of recorded 45-minute Pilates sessions. These can be done independently at yourown pace, helping you build strength, improve flexibility, and stay connected to your practice even when we can’t meet in person.
